Spent one night in this hotel which has a great location in the nicer part of the city and looks across to the Union Buildings and statue of Nelson Mandela. Our room was clean, bed and bath linen also clean. For a well known brand chain, I felt the room was a little tired and needed some brighter colours to lift the room. Check in was efficient as was the handling of our luggage. Some others travelling in our group experienced problems with lights, television etc and were moved to other rooms. As we were leaving at 6.00am the following morning, and the dining area was not open for breakfast, continental breakfast packs were arranged for us. These were not nice at all as the scones, muffins etc were stale and not much else was enjoyable! This is not what is expected of a Sheraton hotel!! It would have been nice if the hotel had made an effort to take care of our breakfast earlier before we left. It was not the best stay we have experienced from the Sheraton chain.
